What Does it Mean to Be a Libertarian?

Many people ask and wonder, what is a Libertarian? All across this country Libertarians try to explain this every single day to their friends and family, but why not let one of the leading experts just explain it for them.

Ron Paul in 1988 ran as the Libertarian candidate for President and gave a brief explanation on what it means to be a Libertarian.

  1. Personally, I agree with the Libertarian Party on pretty much everything. The drug war is an absolute failure. Heroin, Hash, Cocaine, Marijuana-I think they should be legal for adults. Aside from that, a stiff penalty would be placed on businesses that sold the stuff to people under the age 18. We have gotten into wars that have never actually been declared, have stretched ourselves too far around the world. Now, I am not an isolationist. However, from a foreign policy standpoint, we need to mind our own business and not interfere in the affairs of other countries.
