Republican Convention Needs Bailout From Tax Payers; Libertarians Fund Their Own Convention

According to MSNBC the Republican Convention is in need of a bailout:

The target was to raise $64 million, but GOP organizers, spurned by corporate allies, are far short of their goal. Politicoreported yesterday that Republican National Convention officials have turned to billionaire casino mogul Sheldon Adelson, looking for a $6 million bailout.
In a letter addressed to the Adelsons, obtained by POLITICO, the Cleveland 2016 Host Committee revealed the names of more than two dozen prominent corporations and individuals who have reneged on a collective $8.1 million in pledged donations.
The letter represents the most public acknowledgement to date that Donald Trump has directly cost convention organizers millions of fundraising dollars.
What is telling about all of this comes down to the hypocrisy that the two major parties have when it comes to spending money.
The Libertarian Party doesn’t take a single tax paying dime for any of its operations and didn’t need a bailout for their convention in May.
It is preposterous to think the tax payers would have to fork out any cash for a week long party and then help one of the most disgusted nominee’s ever have a good time in the process.
There needs to be a major rethink in this country about the role of political parties, the way that money is spent, and why nobody really cares that money is just wasted on stupid things like the Republican Convention.

Maybe Fox News will cough up with the money in exchange for exclusive coverage of the floor. The can label it as Reality TV. Some of us would see that as a positive development.

Wait a minute- where is the reference or prof that the headline is a fact…the article mentions the GOP approaching private individuals for bail out $$, but makes no mention of how the taxpayers are going to be responsible. This feels like irresponsible reporting.
