The Presidential debate commission released the other day the specific polls that they will use to determine who will make it past the threshold to be included in the fall debates.
Gary Johnson has been pinning his hopes of winning on achieving the 15% necessary to be asked to participate in the debates. He feels that the only way a third party candidate can win the presidency these days is to be included in the debates. They already have trouble spreading their message around to the American people, and with an arbitrary threshold attached by a commission of Republicans and Democrats, it is even harder.
Currently, this is where the Governor and Jill Stein (Green Party candidate) stand in the polls.
In order for Governor Johnson to be included in the fall debates, he needs to average 15% with these five polls.
As we have reported in the past, the polls being conducted are worded in a biased fashion and is hindering his ability to achieve a higher percent.
He is raising money at a high rate of people all across this country but is having problems breaking this barrier. There is an assault by the establishment to not allow a third party into the debates because it will expose their wrongdoings and troubles.
The thing is… the threshold is completely arbitrary. The major parties could let them on the stage regardless of the threshold. But they won’t. And if they meet the 15%, next time it will be 20%. It’s a moving target with the oligarchy holding the string.
