Yesterday the communist dictator of Cuba passed away at the age of 90. While many are praising his death, others are mourning the loss of a leftist icon.  Take Canadian Prime Minister Trudeau:

The prime minister is facing criticism for his statement expressing “deep sorrow” about the death of the controversial former Cuban president Fidel Castro.

Justin Trudeau posted a written statement early Saturday after the late-night announcement that Castro had died at the age of 90.

Trudeau remembered the late president as a “legendary revolutionary and orator,” and said he was a good friend of his father’s.

On this Thanksgiving weekend, it is important to take a moment and remember the gift we are all lucky to have in the United States…Freedom!

As Libertarians, we are in a constant struggle to protect our precious freedom, and in the age, we live in now it is more important than ever. We are under constant attack from forces that wish to strip us of any rights that we have and turn this country into tyrannical power. They wish to control our lives and spy on us. They wish to take away portions of the Bill of Rights in the name of safety.

Therefore, we need to cherish what we currently have and then we have to get back to the fight.  Castro’s death should be a reminder to all that we take for granted what we have in this country and we need to do everything to protect it from the likes of Castro.

Be Thankful that you are free and do everything you can to keep it that way. Good speed friends!
