2018 Libertarian National Convention Shaping Up to Be the Party of the Year!

Coming up this year down in New Orleans Libertarians from across the country will gather for their national convention. All stars and party activists will convene in the Bayou for what is shaping up to be the party of the year!

From the LP website:

All Libertarians, LP members, LP delegates, and those who are interested in learning about Libertarianism are encouraged to attend and help shape the future of the LP and the liberty movement. Contact your state party to learn how to be appointed as an official voting delegate from your state. Family, friends, and observers who aren’t ticketed convention attendees are most welcome to watch the non-ticketed events in the main hall, take in the exhibits, and enjoy family-friendly attractions, shopping and recreational opportunities.

Beyond the critical components of a party’s convention, there will be an all-star cast of featured speakers appearing before the delegates this year.

The list is as follows:

Amaryllis Fox-Host of History Channel’s American Ripper. Writer, activist, former CIA Clandestine Service operative.

Howard Wetsman-Howard is a father, veteran, addiction psychiatrist, government appointee, and lifetime member of the Libertarian Party.

Tim Moen-Tim, who served as a firefighter, paramedic, entrepreneur, writer, and filmmaker, leads the impressive LP of Canada.

Zoltan Istvan-Zoltan is a transhumanist, Libertarian futurist, author, journalist, filmmaker, entrepreneur, non-profit director, speaker, political activist and 2018 Libertarian candidate for Governor of California.

Rep. Brandon Phinney-Serving his first term in the New Hampshire State House, Brandon is one of three Libertarian Representatives in the state.

Larry Sharpe-Larry is an entrepreneur, a veteran and a member of the LNC. He is running for Governor of New York as a Libertarian.

Joel Trammell-Joel blogs at
TheAmericanCEO.com, and writes regular columns for Entrepreneur.com and Inc.com.

R.J. Lyman-R.J. is a Boston-based lawyer. He ran a Super PAC supporting Bill Weld in 2016 and he is a Libertarian Party Lifetime Member.

Robin Koerner-Robin is a political and economic commentator for the Huffington Post, Independent Voter Network, and other outlets.

Wes Benedict-Wes, ED of the LNC, co-founded the Libertarian Booster PAC, and authored “Introduction to the Libertarian Party”.

Siobhan Lynch-Siobhan is a Drug Policy activist and survivor of Straight Inc. A Libertarian for 20+ years.

Lauren Daugherty-Lauren currently serves as Head of Development for the Libertarian National Committee (LNC).

Tylor Slinger-Tylor writes for the website StuffLibertariansLike
and is the author of
“The Making of a Psychological Defense”.

Joe Mckenzie-Joe formed Ripple Connects Inc., co-hosts a weekly Minneapolis/St Paul radio program, and board directs two non-profits.

Jim Cantrell-Jim is the CEO and Co-Founder of Vector. He brings 30 years of aerospace systems technology expertise to the table.

Hesham El-Meligy-Hesham is Chairman of the Staten Island LP, co-founder of Muslims for Liberty, Interfaith pioneer, Middle East expert, & myth buster.

Carla Howell-Carla served as Political Director for the LNC. She has consulted for dozens of initiatives and campaigns at the local, state and federal level.
