Proposed regulations by La Porte County on abandoned vehicles, weeds, and noise ordinances were halted after 200 citizens including members of the Libertarian Party of La Porte County (Indiana) arrived in opposition.
The proposed ordinances were met with much criticisms for overstepping boundaries and violating property rights, with one resident calling them “too intrusive.”
An hour before the meeting, the Libertarians hosted a rally on the steps of courthouse sidewalk waving flags and chanting “leave us alone.”
Congratulations to the Libertarian Party of La Porte County on their successful activism and spreading the ideals of liberty and property rights.
