So much for electing a “fiscal conservative” to the White House. Once again the Republicans have ballooned the national debt in just under two years.
From CNN.com
Washington (CNN) — The US national debt stood at $21.974 trillion at the end of 2018, more than $2 trillion higher than when President Donald Trump took office, according to numbers released Thursday by the Treasury Department.
The national debt has been rising at an accelerated rate in the aftermath of the 2008 financial crisis, when Congress and the Obama administration approved stimulus funding in order to keep the economy afloat.
All this talk of cutting government and reigning in spending is all just a smoke screen for both parties to spend billions of not trillions on their agendas. Take Trump as the biggest example, wanting to spend 5 billion on a wall.
Time for some real change and real cuts!
Americans used to ridicule the Chinese for being too weak to resist tyranny, but now Americans have found out that they are cowards, too.
